This client, a busy psychotherapist, needed help – her site was taking far too long to load and then, when it finally loaded, it wasn’t functioning properly.
Our preliminary investigation turned up a few causes: too many resource-intensive, unlicensed and unsupported plugins, a lackluster hosting plan, a front page that had too many scripts running and an interactive Google map in the footer. We began by discussing what she wanted her website to do and the experience she wanted to give her clients, and designed a streamlined, single-page, site that allows prospective clients to find the information they need before emailing her.
